Correct care techniques based on scientific principles are vital to preserve the shine and durability of crystal and cut decorative products.

Hand Washing is Preferred: The high temperatures, harsh detergents, and vibrations of dishwashers can cause micro-scratches or tarnishing (crystal corrosion) on the crystal surface. Alkaline substances can react with the silica compounds on the crystal surface, creating a cloudy appearance. Therefore, it's always safest to hand wash handmade crystal items .

Choosing the Right Detergent: Choose pH-neutral, non-abrasive, chlorine-free, and fragrance-free liquid dishwashing detergents. Powdered or granular detergents can leave insoluble residue and cause scratches.

Washing Technique: Wash items individually and store them separately from other kitchenware. Use a sufficient amount of lukewarm water (not too hot, approximately 40-50°C). Wipe gently with a soft cloth or sponge.

Drying and Polishing: Immediately after washing, gently dry with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth. Air-drying can cause water spots and mineral buildup on the crystal surface. When drying with the cloth, steady the glass by placing one hand inside and gently polishing the exterior with the other hand to reduce the risk of breakage. Specialized crystal polishing cloths are ideal for maximum sparkle.
